Asbestos Handler
We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Handler to join our team in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to asbestos remediation projects, including handling, removal, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials.

Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while performing asbestos abatement work
- Properly set up containment areas and prepare the work area for asbestos removal
- Safely remove asbestos-containing materials, including flooring, insulation, roofing, and other materials, using approved removal techniques and tools
- Package and label asbestos waste for proper disposal
- Work closely with the project supervisor to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the project supervisor immediately
- Attend required training sessions to maintain required certifications and licenses
- Maintain and clean equipment and tools, including respiratory protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other tools used in asbestos remediation work
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project supervisor
requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in asbestos abatement work
- Valid Asbestos Handler certification
- OSHA 10 and/or 30-hour construction safety training preferred
- Must be physically fit and able to wear a respirator and other PPE for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in New York City
